Surgery Schedule Update

Hi Friends,

I saw my doctor for a pre-op visit. My surgery has been scheduled for next Thursday, September 18; I am very nervous!  The specialist/surgeon still feels that this is just a recurrence of an old problem and assures me that he doesn't expect it to be anything serious. However, there is always that 1% chance that it could be serious and that makes me a bit jumpy.

Your prayers (and/or good wishes from my non praying friends) will be greatly appreciated.

1% is not a lot Diana, the odds for other random accidents are far higher, but we tend not to think of these things!! You can get through whatever the outcome, but like the doctor said, its probably nothing bad! i'd be nervous too though saying all that, we'll all be thinking of you!!

Next Thursday, it's on my calendar and prayers will be heading upwards from now until you you get your results.

When I was waiting for my surgery, every time I started worrying about it I would tell myself that I was just wasting energy. I was going to have the surgery whether I worried or not, so I did pretty good until the morning I had it done, and then I was a basket case.

Thank you Cathy! Funny movies is an excellent idea! I think I'll go rent one for each night before my surgery! LOL! 

LOL @ Sue! I know, I was actually fine until they set the date and made me sign the papers!  But you are absolutely right Sue, worrying won't change a thing, God is in charge no matter what the outcome. I find that though very comforting. Thank you Sue!
