I was very, very sad to read that Peter will not be joining us anymore - I so admired his skill and photography and lovely sense of humour.  You were and will be missed!  R.I.P Peter

Terribly sad news. I always enjoyed reading Peter's posts. If ever there was a selfless individual, it was Peter.

Love to him and his family.

Cheers,

Bob

I heard about this on Facebook. It was such a sad loss. His humor and gentle loving nature was a blessing to us all. Rest in peace dear Peter.

I was reminded of Peter's passing when I saw a recent comment on his picture of the Mistlethrush which appears earlier in this thread. I didn't know Peter personally, but it is wonderful that his pictures remain on PoE as a memorial to him.  I would like to think that his family must know that he is fondly remembered on PoE.

I know that in the Amateur Radio fraternity, a deceased member is referred to as a 'Silent Key', maybe in the Photography world it should be a 'Silent Shutter' .

I also thought perhaps there should be some indication on the PoE Member List when it is reliably known that a Member has passed on, to avoid unintended embarrassment and upset to their family should they be contacted via e-mail.

I had a some good chats with Peter by e-mail and i didnt realise his name was Clifford at first as i didnt know any Clifford Evans so the natural thing to do was delete them,i only found out months after that it was Peter who was trying to contact me--we had a little laugh after.--sadly no longer with us.
