Here's the way I see it;

The government has no problem allowing people to damage their health with alcohol, tobacco, and other harmful substances, so they should leave their collective hooters out of the sugar, fat, and salt argument as well.

Cheers,

 Bob

Yeah! 19 stones and 13 pounds. Might not seem much to you dear friends, but proves one can diet 'without going without' if you see what I mean! lol

Mr  Brind,    You must try harder
I've been trying ever since Peggy and down to 19 stones 4 pounds. Not a massive loss, but it all counts bearing in mind I go in for a knee replacement soon.

In for pre-op assessment for new knee tomorrow Neil so what will be will be. At the moment it's bone on bone and very painful.

In my case they tell me that there is a chance of a dormant infection from an injury 50 years ago coming back to life when they give me the new knee.

I asked what then? The specialist hesitated and said, weeeeell we have antibiotics buuut! But what I asked, what are you saying? He replied, if they don't work we will have to discuss other matters. Like what I asked, he looked at me and said.....amputation!

So basically I go in with two legs and might come out with one! Not much I can say about that is there? There are still lots of people worse off than me so I still consider myself lucky.

Good grief Ron, that's a bit extreme. What I find amazing is that an infection can lay dormant for all those years.

All the best from David and myself, fingers crossed that everything is just fine. A friend of ours had a knee replacement 6 weeks ago and he's getting through it quite well, let's hope it's the same for you Smile
