Thanks to our Shirley for mentioning this in an earlier post.

It's the time that New Zealanders throughout the world come together to celebrate. So from all at POE we wish you a Happy Waitangi Day. Celebrate and enjoy!

We were in Auckland on Waitangi Day in 2004, we had a wonderful time. We'd arrived that day after a very wet week in the Cook Islands and were very pleased that the weather in New Zealand was wonderful, and over the moon that there was a tumble drier in the hotel room to dry all our damp things - little things :)
