Whilst reading on-line yesterday i came across this little story seeing thatCornwall is mentioned a lot on this site i foundit very interesting --i hope the link works--here goes.

Hi James. It didn't work because you had a space at the front of the url, probably where you attempted to move it up the page a little.

It's worked for me but I'm on my iPhone and I copied the link to my address bar.

James, you need to edit your post. Run your mouse over the link so it goes blue. The little link icon at the bottom of the box will light up. Click on it and paste the link into the box that appears. Then click 'insert' and the link in the post will be clickable.

Interesting article with some striking pictures. I remember the Maria Asumpta running aground off Rumps Point in North Cornwall in 1995 with the loss of 4 lives. One of her masts washed up on the rocks at the bottom of our friends property. I remember we took ages to haul it up into the garden, most of it is still there. Dangerous place the coast.

Many thanks James, I did read your mail but it would not link there either so thanks to all you dab hands out there making life easy. Indeed a very interesting article full of much information and wonderful photographic records. I did think a number of famous wrecks did not get a mention ie The Hanover or The Torrey Canyon disaster but most of all the work and sacrifice of the RNLI and their personal losses like the Penlee lifeboat should have been rembered in the article. But hey, I am being very picky as the story explained the Cornish waters have been such a dangerous place to be that to include them all would require volumes.

Thank You very much James, an interesting read for everyone.
