Hi,

I'm trying to sort out a weekend trip to England with a bunch of Spaniards, ten or so.
Going to London isn't very original, and we'd like to go and stay in a little town or village where you don't get many tourists because there's nothing to attract them. Just something English.

Well, now everyone has their fantasies about a pretty and, more importantly, friendly little English village where they can go and sit in a pub and chat to the locals.

Does such a place exist?

Thanks all.
Iain

Hi Iain. Welcome to POE from Anna and Ron. Will have to think about that request and get back to you here via the forum.

Hi Ian.  A warm welcome to POE.  Did you read Brenda's Thread "Met all our Expectations". Perhaps that could be a clue for a place for you to look at?

I reckon you need an element of tourism Ian to get the locals going, so I would suggest any of the following 'Cotswold' villages...Burford, Chipping Norton, Chipping Camden, Upper/Lower Slaughter, Woodstock....yeah, lovely little villages!

Plenty of antique shops too...lol
