My name is Mark Rowney, I live and work in Weardale, Co. Durham, where i paint and carve Leather in my studio overlooking the lovely village of Ireshopeburn. I have worked professionally in Newyork and India but my heart has always been here. My great influences are the Midges that bite me, the bees that sting me and the birds that sing so sweetly. I will have my web site 'rowneyart.com' up and running soon but if anyone is interested you can see some of my leather work on the site ETSY and go to rowneyart.

The photos i take are pretty much taken on and around the farm i live on and are taken mostley for reference, every now and then i find they are good in their own right

I look forward to making new friends and sharing their views of this wonderful country we live in
