Just a brief hello to all to introduce myself to all who use this site.I only joined poe yesterday

& was advised to start a new thread to introduce myself. I'm 49 year's young, married with 2

grown up lads, & have only recently got "into" taking photographs since taking up caravaning

& touring this great country of ours about 6 years ago.Not a natural user of all mod cons so to

speak, so this is all new to me.I have a huge back catalogue of photo's from Scotland to Cornwall

& hope to get as many on as I can. I take it Wales & Scotland are ok on a "Pictures of England"

site ? I will endevour to view as many photo's already on as well, & from what I have seen there

are hundreds of stunning shots ... I have a lot of catching up to do. Thanks to those who have

already passed positive comments on the ones I have recently uploaded. I'm off to France

this weekend to see the sights of Normandy ( so no photo's for the site on this trip ! )

& hope to speak soon. All the best

Greetings Martin and welcome to POE, you have found yourself a great site to belong to and judging by your pics so far you will be right at home. Do join in the forums , as Dave said we are a pretty amiable bunch and serious and the not so serious is all OK.

Re some of your pics, location says Trethewey but description says Trethevey, I presume the shots are Trethevey as Trethewey is in the far south west inland on the Penwith Peninsula. If the shots indeed are at Trethevey, did you manage to visit the Kieve at St. Nectan's Glen, a stunning place to visit?

Back to business, Welcome to POE and looking forward to more pics.

Hi Martin.  Hello from Arizona.  Looking forward to seeing your photos.  POE (as we affectionately refer to Picture of England) accepts photos from the whole of the British Isles, which I refer to as the garden spot of Planet Earth.  Keep coming around - it's a great site.

so many in such a short time ... feels like I'm taking over the site !

hopefully I will get time to view some of all your uploads as opposed

Hi Vince .. as you can see , yet to master talking on the Forum !

You are correct they were indeed taken at Trethevey .. I just

thought Trethewey was a spelling mistake !  We did visit St. Nectans Glen, & though in itself a lovely place ... not too sure

what to make of it as a "shrine" though ?

Not a bit of it, Martin.  I think our photos are just lovely.  I don't think you can ever put up too many.  And especially for those of us who have to live vicariously, well, the more the merrier.
