Barbara, what would be the purpose of the round tower? Wonder if it was an original part of structure or maybe added for protection in battle.

There wasn't anything stating contents or memorial as such, like a brass plate??? Maybe I can do a search on it to find a little abt it. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I love to see this even around where I live in MS. These hay bales look so much neater than the ones I've seen around here.

Oh, but it is a spectacular sunrise IMHO. Don't really see how could be better. It's ethereal, soothing, shows God's workmanship. What else could there be??

I agree wholeheartedly as well. You should be taking photos for a wildlife group or a calendar company. Roger, I'd like to save this one for desktop bkgd, if ok.

Thanks for sharing this awesome photo. Would it be possible for you to get some pics of Gawthorpe Hall also? It is the home of my Shuttleworth ancestors. See note below: Shuttlworth Family - House & Farm Accts of Shuttleworths of Gawthorpe Hall at Smithils & Gawthorpe, Co. Lancaster from Sept 1582-1621

The Catalpa tree is one of my state's (MS) abundant trees. It is in many areas here. It has a worm that is used widely for fishing. The blooms are pretty & resemble a small orchid, in MHO.

Hi, Kip. I just wanted to say I'm enjoying all of your pics, as well as those of other members. I'm looking for photos of Acaster, Selby, Yorkshire. One of my earliest Harrison ancestors is said to be from there. Regards!
