It really does look like a bear. An american black bear, with its light coloured muzzle. Excellent! The bottom of an upturned tree perhaps?

Clever poe--you can give out the pencils!! ----it indeed was an old tree stump covered in ivy and moss, but from about 50 yards off it just looked like a bear!!
