I could hardly believe that I witnessed this; a tornado which turned horizontal after a certain height. The hailstorm which followed was the most violent weather event I've ever seen.

In February 2009 the snow fell, cars remained parked on driveways and some brave villagers ventured out to enjoy the snow. This picture was taken from the bottom of my garden looking out on the snowy fields of Hillesden.
