Caradon mining area

Caradon Mine in the distance taken from Craddock Moor. This area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are about ten separate areas in Cornwall and West Devon designated with World Heritage for the contribution Cornish Mining and Industrial development made to the world as we know it today. At its heyday in the mid 1800s Cornwall was probably and surprisingly the most industrial area in Britain.
