The tide can sneak up on you here, and as the only way off the beach is up the staircase at one end, unless you fancy climbing the cliff, you need to keep your eyes open.

There was a TV programme shown recently about Britain's favourite view and Bedruthen Steps wasn't even mentioned. Travesty! It's certainly my favourite view. That Cornish sea on a sunny day is perfection.

If you walk along the cliffs from the National Trust carpark at Carnewas, past the Bedruthan Steps and across Park Head, you reach some deeply eroded coves and high cliffs, perhaps another Bedruthan Steps in the making. Keep going a little further east and you are rewarded with this view.
