The Grot, Rydal Park

The Grot in Rydal Park is a grade II listed building built in 1668 to provide a window from which to view the lower Rydal Beck Fall. Repaired and restored 2005-2007 it is now as it was 350 years ago. There is a notice on the bridge where the photo is taken from. At the bottom of the notice it says 'Please do not remove the glass window' May 2014
