PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK

DERWENT DAM WEST TOWER. THIS TOWER CONTAINS THE DAM BUSTERS MUSEUM. IT WAS ON THESE DAMS IN THIS VALLEY THAT THE DAM BUSTERS SQUADRON PRACTISED DROPPING OF THE BOUNCING BOMB THAT WOULD BE USED TO BREACH THE RUHR DAMS IN GERMANY DURING WORLD WAR 2.
