About Brixham Battery

Brixham Battery was built in 1940 and is the most complete Emergency Battery from this era. It is rich in history, as the site was first used as a battery in 1586 during the war between England and Spain, and was also active throughout the American War of Independence and Napoleonic War. The Battery Gardens offer superb panoramic views and a visit to this historic attraction comes highly recommended.
