Watermouth Castle occupies a commanding position overlooking Watermouth Bay in the lovely coastal resort of Ilfracombe. Here visitors can enjoy a holiday in one of the castle's splendid apartments or enjoy a great family day out experiencing the many attractions of the Theme Park in the castle grounds.
Inside the castle you can explore its great hall with its magnificent suits of armour and other treasures, whilst the castle dungeons offer a taste of witches, ghouls, phantoms and smugglers, even shops from bygone Victorian times can be discovered as you make your way deep below stairs.
Laid out in the beautiful sub-tropical gardens are enchanting water gardens and fountains, as well as numerous thrilling rides with a swing boat and steam carousel adding a little touch of magic from yester-year.
Everything here is designed to absorb and entertain everyone, there is even a tiny village to walk around where you can see gnomes, a tilting house and a wicked troll. In the adventure playground you can have all sorts of fun whilst listening to Captain Andy and his River Town Band!
The castle cafe is the perfect place to relax over a tasty snack, talking about your experiences or planning where next to go in the park. Maybe it will be to try your hand at panning gold, or perhaps you will decide to sit back and enjoy the marvelous underground water show, a breathtaking display of lights and music against a background of fountains.
Apart from spending a fun filled day, one of the joys of Watermouth castle is its fantastic sea and coastal views.
