This is a picture of David Hinde, Town Crier of Bridlington, the Worlds loudest Town Crier, who lives at Town Criers Cottage, Bempton. David is also a Member of the Ancient & Honourable Guild of Town Criers.

These spectacular cliffs near Bridlington are home to thousands of nesting seabirds. The RSPB shop located here is full of books, binoculars and everything to do with birds. Come in the breeding season for a mind blowing experience.

This footpath gives access to all the viewing points along the cliffs and is a fairly easy walk, it's also OK for wheelchair users. Wrap up warm though, the wind can be cold!

It's always nice to see the gannets arriving home. Their mate is always happy to see them...the same can't be said of others though. It makes for a terrific nature scene.

The cliffs are awash with these pretty flowers so if you don't particularly like birds you can take in the amazing views and enjoy a wealth of butterflies and insects as well as rabbits, stoats etc.

The Worlds loudest Town Crier

David Hinde is the Worlds loudest Town Crier having been recorded at Sewerby Park, Bridlington on Saturday 17th August 2013 at 114.8 Decibels, breaking a 22 year old record. David is Town Crier for Bridlington, the East Yorkshire coast resort and he lives in 17 Century Town Criers Cottage in Bempton. David is also a fine Bass Baritone Vocalist.

THis is the Blue Heritage Plaque on TOWN CRIERS COTTAGE,BEMPTON,highlighting the appointment in Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee Year 2012 by Bridlington Town Council of David Hinde as Bridlington's First Town Crier For 111 years (Since 1901)and his membership Appointment by the Ancient & Honourable Guild of Town Criers. David is now the Worlds loudest recorded Town Crier having achieved 114.8 Decibels at Sewerby Park, Bridlington on Saturday 17th August 2013.

Bempton Cliffs is a nature reserve, run by the RSPB, at Bempton in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is best known for its breeding seabirds, including northern gannet, Atlantic puffin, razorbill, common guillemot, black-legged kittiwake and fulmar.
