Our paternal grandparents immigrated to Canada in the 1920's. My sister and I were born and raised in Toronto. Recently we went on a cruise which had us disimbarking in Harwich, England. On the bus ride back to Heathrow Airport, the bus stopped in the village of Little Bentley to drop off a cruise ship worker who lived nearby. We were amazed to see our family name on this sign, but even more thrilling was the smaller sign attached to it that said "Bricklayers Arms" - our Grandfather was a bricklayer, rather small in stature, and was often known as "Little Bentley" to his coworkers. We never felt more connected to England as we did in that moment!
