Mail Rail at the Postal Museum, passenger train, junction Mount Pleasant to Liverpool Street Station

The Postal Museum reveals five centuries of British social and communications history through the eyes of its iconic postal service. As part of the museum The Post Office Railway, known as Mail Rail since 1987, is a 2 ft narrow gauge, driverless underground railway in London that was built by the Post Office with assistance from the Underground Electric Railways Company of London, to move mail between sorting offices. It is now open for visitors to experience a 15 minute ride along the track.
