Ready For Action

This shot was taken from one side of the airport to the other and shows one of the airfield fire engines ready to react ( hopefully not though ).Farnbourgh is an airfield dating back to the early days of aviation, in fact the first powered flight by Samuel Cody in Britain on 5th October 1908 took place here. After a history with the military and research units it is now a civil airport and as well as the day to day airport business they also hold major exhibitions and events ( hence our visit today ) - not forgetting the once every two years Farnborough Air Show.
