A maritime heritage

Taken at Portsmouth Dockyard - a place well worth visiting. The large ship is the 'Warrior', I believe the worlds first iron-clad battleship. Well worth seeing. More headroom than the 'Victory' and over several deck levels. Engine can be viewed and is often in motion - in it's original position. Harbour boat trips on most days. If interested in transfer of skills Boathouse 4 worth visiting to watch apprentices and volunteer workers. Building of a replica of a first world war Coastal (Torpedo) Boat, and the original boat itself and much more. Please also visit the Mary Rose as this building has amazing exhibits as well as the remains of Mary Rose. Very well set up over several floors with lifts for disabled.
