About South Baddesley

This is a small picturesque hamlet at the edge of the New Forest National Park overlooking the Solent towards the Isle-of-Wight. It has only a school, a few properties and a church dedicated to St.Mary the Virgin. The church is a lovely old building set in a tranquil churchyard surrounded by ancient forest trees interspersed with graves and tombstones of local families.

South Baddesley, is situated close to the town of Lymington where the ferry leaves for the Isle-of-Wight, thus it offers visitors a two-fold experience, the delight of ancient woodland, old forest hamlets, free roaming ponies, plus all the pleasures of the sea in an area renowned for yachting.

Not far distant is Southampton Water and the city of Southampton which offers a lovely waterfront and excellent shopping.
