A good shot of a much photographed village. I live quite close to Aylesford and taken many similar shots myself over the years. The bridge is medieval but the centre arch was enlarged early in the 19th century to allow river traffic through. For many years it was used for motor traffic as part of a one way system but was since the building of a new bridge (from which this shot was taken)it has become pedestrianised.
