Ship's Bell, Chatham Historic Dockyard

The Royal Navy Dockyard Chatham on the river Medway was established in the mid-16th Century. It became one of the major dockyards of the country until its closure in 1964. It is now a major maritime museum. HMS Cavalier was a a C-class Royal Navy destroyer built in 1943 at Cowes on the Isle of Wight by White, J. Samuel & Co. Ltd. It now forms part of the National Historic Fleet.
