St. Wilfred's Church

St. Wilfred's Church in the village of Ribchester, in Lancashire ... the Parish Church of St Wilfred's was built on the site of the Roman fort with written evidence recording a date of 1193 for the establishment of a Church on this site, but as it is traditionally thought that all the Churches dedicated to St Wilfred were founded by the Saint himself, there could have been a Church here as long ago as the seventh century.
