A picture of Tockholes

A picture of Hollinshead Hall, Tockholes, Lancashire, lying in a sorry state. Hollinshead Hall was the manor house to the village of Tockholes. The ruins that remain today are of 18th and 19th century origin, but evidence exists to suggest that the Hollinshead family owned a manor house in the area back in the 14th century. Hollinshead Hall fact, when the hall was demolished some of the stonework was used to construct houses in the nearby village of Belmont.
