This photo was taken in October 2007 when the bracken dies back to this brown colour. Bradgate Park is in the Charnwood area of Leicestershire. The park is open all year round to the public. There is a parking fee for cars but this helps pay for the upkeep of the Park and also pays for the Park wardens. In area of grounds, it's approx 850 acres which also consists of area of Oak Trees, some are over 100yrs old, I live about 5 miles away. The rock formations are hard Granite in this area. The structure on the high point is Old John Folly. Other pics of mine show different views of this landmark!
