Bow bridge sign
Plaque on Leicesters bow bridge.
Legend has it that King Richard III's bones were dug up from the nearby church and thrown into the River Soar near here a few years after his defeat and death at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.
The famous Shakespearean line "My kingdom for a horse!" comes from this battle.
