Due to be demolished Oct 5th 2009. Our wonderful heritage and history that Americans like is being wiped out despite vociferous campaigns against it. This is an important landmark and will cost the same to demolish it as to renovate so money isnt the problem. Its the pigheaded Councils attitude, 'We'll demolish this historic bridge no matter what and put up a nice shiny new building'. Any American Millionaires out there want to preserve a bit of old England?
