The Manor House Museum is located in the charming Lincolnshire town of Alford. It occupies a beautiful Tudor house of 1540, which was encased in red brick during the 18th century.
The museum has plenty to interest all the family including a Victorian Schoolroom, Victorian and Edwardian rooms, a pharmacy, sweet making display, veterinary surgery, dairy, pantry, a cobbler's shop and even a police cell. The museum is the start of the town's Heritage Trail.
Alford is also the home of an unusual early 19th century windmill with five sails.
