The Hyde, Boston, Lincolnshire

The tower of St.Botolphs Church, known as the 'Boston Stump', has been a landmark for mariners for centuries. 'Boston' is a corruption of 'Botolph's Town'.

I'm positive the folks who reside in their beloved Boston, Massachusetts would be somewhat upset about being a corruption of "Botolph's Town." Oh well.
