The West Front of Lincoln Cathedral

Lincoln Cathedral, or the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln, is the third largest Cathedral in England. Building began in 1088 and today portions of the Norman building can be seen although it is mostly Gothic in architecture. Between 1312 and 1549 it is believed to have been the tallest building in the world until the central spire collapsed and was not replaced. Photo taken by my son on a recent visit to England.
