The Beck, Nettleham, Lincolnshire. There has been a settlement at Nettleham, 4 miles north of Lincoln, since the bronze age - probably because of the beck that flows through the centre of the village. There are beautiful waterside walks alongside the beck which attracts both photographers and artists as well as many types of wildlife including moorhens and a colony of well fed Mallards. In the background of the shot can be seen the Old School, a Grade 2 Listed Building, which was purchased in 1999 by the Parish Council with the aid of the grant from the Heritage Lottery Board. The premises are now used for community purposes and are in much demand from village organisations.
