Woolsthorpe Manor

Woolsthorpe Manor, a typical 17th Century yeoman farmers property and birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton in 1642 is owned and cared for by the National Trust. The house interior has been recreated as a typical 17 Century farmstead and one of the farm buildings has been converted to house the Science Discovery Centre, with hands-on experiments of some of Newtons important discoveries. Sheep are still kept on the farm and the famous apple tree (apparently an offshoot of the original tree) can be seen from the house. Photo taken by my son during a recent visit to England and he would like to return and study the experiments more. He was a Science, Physics and Chemistry Teacher and has a Master's degree - MSc
