Aysgarth Falls are in Wensleydale. This is a picture of the upper falls. A short walk then takes you to the middle falls and then the lower falls. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was filmed here.

The River Ure cascades over Limestone Steps. They are one of the most famous beauty spots of Wensleydale. They were featured in the film Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves which starred Kevin Costner.

Aysgarth Falls are a triple flight of waterfalls, surrounded by woodland and farmland, carved out by the River Ure over an almost one-mile stretch on its descent to mid-Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales of England, near the village of Aysgarth.

Aysgarth Falls are a triple flight of waterfalls, surrounded by woodland and farmland, carved out by the River Ure over an almost one-mile stretch on its descent to mid-Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales of England, near the village of Aysgarth. The falls are quite spectacular after heavy rainfall as thousands of gallons of water cascade over the series of broad limestone steps, which are divided into three stages: Upper Force, Middle Force and Lower Force.

Aysgarth Falls, North Yorkshire. Aysgarth can be found in Wensleydale, on the road between Leyburn and Hawes. Movie buffs may be interested to know that the falls were used in the movie Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves

The original building was medieval but was substantially renovated in 1536 and again in 1866. There is a fine rood screen that dates from around 1506 and which was transferred from Jervaulx Abbey at Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries.
