A picture of Filey
Phew, how many more steps? The building at the top of these steps, that lead up from the Coble Landing to Queen Street, is the old coast guard lookout. It is now a private house and had the top storey substantially reduced around 40 years ago and originally stood much taller than it presently is. Queen Street was originally the main shopping street in the old town of Filey, before the construction of the Crescent and 'new Filey' took place in the mid 1800's
