Ripon Clock Tower

The Clock Tower was built to commemorate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897 and was officially opened at a ceremony attended by the mayor, local dignitaries, a brass band and a large crowd of Ripon's citizens in 1898. Situated very inconveniently in North Road at its junction with Palace Road.
