Dunstanburgh Castle, and shoreline seascape.

This castle was built in 1325, by Thomas, Earl of Lancaster. That's the history bit. However it is more of a ruin now. Most of this coastline is National Trust and English Heritage which is a blessing, and hopefully will stay that way and not spoilt as tourist resorts. God forbid! There are quite a few Castle's on this coastline that were no doubt a great advantage point looking out to sea against any invaders!
