Belsay Hall and Gardens, Ponteland, Northumberland

Beginning of the Quarry gardens. Stone from here was used to build Belsay Hall in the 1800's after the family moved out of the Jacobean Hall attached to the castle. It was designed to resemble a Sicilian quarry.
