High Street, Hook Norton

Hook Norton is a large village built in the local honey-coloured ironstone. The main road through the village twists and turns and is full of attractive houses and cottages. Like some other nearby villages, the different parts of Hook Norton are known as 'Ends'. Off the main road in the older part of the village there is a maze of interesting narrow lanes. St. Peter's Church, Hook Norton

The parish church, St. Peter's, is of Norman origin but also has some Early English, Decorated Gothic and Perpendicular Gothic features. Like in several other nearby churches, St. Peter's has a number of medieval wall paintings, including paintings of saints, angels and the Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul.
