Rutland

EXTON PARK at one time extended to 607 hectares ( 1500 acres ) of deer park . It is the home of the Earl of Gainsborough . The ruins of the original Exton Hall are nearby . The estate is private and walkers must keep to the well-signposted routes that pass through the park . The most interesting feature of the park is Fort Henry . This pretty , Gothic summer-house was built on Fort Henry Lake at the end of the 18th century.
