Ickworth House - built as an 18th century Italian-style showcase for the Hervey family’s collections of Georgian silver, Regency furniture, books and fine paintings – the grand central Rotunda dominates the landscape. Inside, view the impressive sculpture, the Fury of Athamas by John Flaxman or discover impressive family portraits by artists such as Gainsborough, Reynolds, Hogarth, Kauffman and Zoffany. There are many other fine paintings by Titian, Velásquez and Vigée Le Brun as well as a stunning collection of ambassadorial silverware by the finest Huguenot silversmiths of the 17th and 18th centuries.
