Here at the pond / small lake in Meadowbank this very patient Heron stood motionless for all the time we were here. Save for a few movements of it's neck the feet did not budge, must admit this does make picture taking a lot easier.

St. Martin's Church in Dorking has a quick gutter clean up and a Churchyard cross makes a good place to stand on to reach reach the blockage.

Norbury tunnel is on the line between Leatherhead and Dorking, on the ground above the tunnel is Norbury Park and it's fine House. The train here is london bound.

This is the Church of St. Barnabas at Ranmore Common high up in the Surrey Hills overlooking Dorking. The church was built in 1859 in a gothic style and was built as the estate church for the Denbies Estate ( this is now one of Englands foremost vineyards ). The Estate was owned by the Cubitt family employing 150 odd people . The novelist George Meredith nicknamed the spire which can be seen for miles around as

The hedgerow by the National Trust car park was alive with birds all darting around so feel lucky to have captured this many at one time. I did manage a shot with 7 but not all in clear view.

Even the local constabulary enjoy a stroll in the Meadowbank recreational area. The park is such a contrast to the bustle of Dorking High Street, which runs parallel with the park and is less than five minutes away.
