The Lay Brothers Refectory

This is one of the remains of Waverley Abbey. It is in fact we see here the Refectory of the Lay Brothers, in the year 1180 there would have been about 120 Lay Brothers at the Abbey. Although no longer there now there would have been a dormitory above refectory back in the day.
