A short distance to the Northwest from the Compasses inn is a row of cottages with confusing address numbering. From left to right in this image, the numbers are:- 4, then 5 & 24 on the same house, then 22, followed by 8, then 9. I'm sure the postman/woman will have it figured, but they could be forgiven for occasionally getting it wrong.
