Bee Fly

The Bee Fly can be seen during April/June time throughout Europe and is often mistaken for a Bee. It's eggs are flicked by the adult female towards the entrance of underground nests of solitary Bees and Wasps and then after hatching the larvae will then find their way into the nests to feed on the grubs. Nice eh?
