The Grange

Well,today ( 1/09/2014 ) nearby Burford Bridge Hotel near Dorking re-opened after being totally flooded big time last Christmas Eve in the terrible weather then after nine months of work to repair the damage. Unfortunately another hotel has a different fate, this is/was the Bookham Grange Hotel and has been empty for a while but now the demolition boys have moved in. The Hotel is on the edge of Bookham Common , Iam not sure what is going to be done with the site but would guess more shoe horned houses. The area on the left already demolished was once the function room and in fact we had our wedding reception there a number of years ago. There goes some memories.

What a shame. As you say Vince an ideal site for a load of shoe box houses.
