There are a number of these ponds dotted around this part of Ockham Common, this one is conveniently adjacent to one of the car parks just off of the A3. There is another car park nearby and closer to the A3 where there is a snack bar/cafe. Do remember folks if you want to access this area you cannot from the A3. You have to come off the M25 and go south or if on the A3 , come off at he M25 junction go round the roundabout andtake the sliproad to rejoin the A3 where you will be able to make the left turn signposted Effingham. Not sure what you folk will make of this,not sure myself. There have been a number of these vertical shots before here on POE. This particular shot was taken on the edge of Boulder Mere, located just south of M25/A3 junction 10. Nowadays the A3 goes right past the edge of the lake, or mere, but with no chance to stop and view. I remember back in the day being able to pull over to do just that. Image cannot be loaded

These static waters dotted around this road between the A3 and The Mucky Duck ( well Black Swan ) look much the same as last time I visited here but there would have been a very different picture a couple of months ago during the floods. Image cannot be loaded
The Hautboy Inn.

For a long time this Inn has had a good name. However, after closing some years ago (owner going broke I believe) it has lain a derelict site. After much opposition I understand it is to be made into flats and cottages. Image cannot be loaded
