The Anchor at Pyrford Lock is a very pleasant spot for a drink/meal and to watch the river and wildlife which in this case allowed itself to be photographed.

The lock is immediately on the other side of this VERY narrow road bridge. If arriving in something like a camper van be warned it might be a tight squeeze. A supermarket home delivery van had a job and about three goes to get lined up and through.

There is no peace for the Dragonfly flight, always on the move over land and water. This shot was taken by Pyrford lock, a very nice spot with a wicked bridge over the water, very narrow with tight corners and bollards just in the wrong place. Oh, and there is a very popular and busy pub as well.

This building is the summer house situated on the bank of the river Wey, and recently renovated. It was part of Pyrford Place where John Donne 1572 -1631 the poet spent time whist staying with relatives in the house.
